Marines Size Up New Fitness Test

MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. — Marines from Headquarters Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 27, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, tested multiple events from the Marine Corps’ new Combat Fitness Test, Jan. 11, at the CLR-27 Regimental Physical Training field here.

The Marines tested three events scheduled to be implemented into the CFT during summer 2008. The events held included a casualty carry course, ammunition re-supply course and a maneuver under fire course. (more…)

Okay, at first I was just going to triy the blogging feature on Digg so I could see what would happen. I was going to remove my entry from Digg as well, but it looks like you can’t do that. You can “undigg” it, but you can’t dig it in the future if you really liked it. I am glad to say that I actually liked this video from the Onion.

I read this morning that they were going to get into the internet video market with ads from various vendors, but I didn’t think that it would be this good.

A little help for my friend Alex in Afghanistan…

AlexdrivingI got an email from my friend Alex this weekend. I worked with Alex at BN and for some crazy reason he decided to join the Army. He has done very well in the service - completed Medic training, Paratrooper training and started Ranger training before being sent to Afghanistan. He is a really funny guy who always kept me smiling - and I’m sure he is doing the same for the guys he is working with now. (more…)
