Facebook Texas Hold’em

Well, i was playing Texas Hold’em on Facebook tonight, but had to give that up to… ummm… get some sleep and write this quick RANT…
Why is it that “online” players are all talk when they are winning, but when they get beat, they b*tch and moan like a 2 yr old?!?! I mean really… it’s just an f’n game. You got beat, deal with it. It’s not like you were playing with your money, let alone “real” money.
This guy, from Toronto no less, was all talk for the majority of the hands. You should do this, you should do that, etc. Not saying that I am the best damn poker player out there, but I know when to STFU. All of a sudden, he starts taking a turn for the worse and starts getting an attitude: “ok, now it’s time to play”. WTF ever, most people playing poker in FB are just there to pass the time and relax; friendly games and not to much more. If you want something more than that, go to the casino or some where you are REALLY going to loose your money (or even your life). Not that I am suggesting that you get yourself into a situation you can’t get out of.
Anyway, I start knocking this guy down little by little. Some of the hands I chased the flush or straight and it worked out in my favor. Then, he “table talks” to one of his friends saying “come get me” with a “Q-2″. We all thought he was B/S’ng b/c he’d been talking the whole night. Needless to say, I pulled A-Q in the pocket and wound up getting the high straight on the turn. Well of course he wasn’t having any of that so he kept going. I wound up playing a K-? and caught the flush on the turn and pushed him all in. Of course, he looses and starts with the name calling and what not. I think the term he used was “bingo player” or something on that lines.
Long story short, he got slow-played and lost. He wasn’t even man enough to nice hand or good game… “loooooser“. As many Canadians that I know, this has to be the worst one I have EVER come in contact with. I really hope that he doesn’t give the rest of the world a bad impression of Canadians. They are not ALL poor sports.
By now, you must be asking yourself what you should take from my little rant. Well, that’s up to you. You can just click the back button and go back to where you came from or you can learn something…
Remember, it’s just a game. Nobody dies from loosing a game of online, no stakes poker. Be a good sport in everything that you do and congratulate the winner(s). Life is to short to be a b*tch.
feel free to use this if you want
